A lot of (much more popular) bloggers that I follow create posts where they simply describe one of their days that week...hence the title "A Day in the Life". I really liked this idea, as it gives an informal glimpse into our everyday life. This may not be your favorite blog idea from me (the NOT famous blogger!), but I like the fact that Brandon and I can look back someday into this "online scrapbook" I feel I am creating and remember how it was. Most of my DITL posts will probably take place on non-work days, but I will try to encompass our day-to-day life as much as I can.
So here you go.....our first DITL:
Saturday, May 17, 2013
Brandon woke me up around 9 am so that we could get to the new greenhouse early (that's early for me on a Saturday!). After getting ready, I ate breakfast and played Panda Jam on the iPad while Brandon worked on some dishes and puppy chewed her bone.
While I took Zoey out to go potty, Brandon shut off our new sprinkler.
Then we were off to the greenhouse! Um, I guess the Saturday before Memorial Day weekend when the weather is PERFECT is NOT the day to go to the greenhouse *smack forehead*...but we managed to find a parking spot in the actual parking lot instead of having to go out to the "parking field"!
This field was full as well when we left!
Getting home to our dear Zoey!
We took a minute to put our new hanging basket out front (and water it!)
And here is our little flower pot and other hanging basket as well as Zoey who is wondering why she is not on the same side of the fence as me!
And then, we were off to Brandon's parent's house! I forgot to take pictures of the road trip...but essentially there was a Slurpee/gas stop and a lot of highway driving! Brandon's dad was in the Netherlands for the month so we went to spend time with his mom.
Here we are at arrival!
We spent some time outdoors and then I retired to watch some HGTV while Brandon helped his mom put a new air conditioner in the Kennel.
We decided to go to the art show downtown...so back into the car we went.
EVERYONE wanted to say hi to Zoey! It was good for her; up until this evening she had been semi-scared of strangers. She had a small breakthrough meeting so many new people at once!
Such a good girl!
Then we came back for some hot dogs on the grill and had doggy play time!
Time to head home.
Mary bought me this beautiful vase at the art show! |
When we were almost home we stopped for some groceries.
We have a habit of shopping way too late! Goodnight!
