Blake, you are officially TWO!

Daddy and I cannot believe how much you've grown and changed since the day we met you. It's bittersweet for sure.

I'm a little over a month late posting this so the pictures are from before and after your 2nd birthday. (Hence the abundance of pictures at the end of this post) You had your 2 year doctor visit about a week after your birthday and these were your stats:

It was your first time getting measured standing up like a big boy. I'm not sure how accurate your height is...you wouldn't stand still!

Weight: 30.4 pounds (84th percentile)

Height: 33 inches (31st percentile)

Memories from *around* Month 24:

-You have started saying, "Thank you very much" and it's maximum adorableness.

-You also say "Bless you" for sneezes, coughs, and burps. :)

-You got your first bloody nose and scraped up forehead when you climbed into your kid sized wheelbarrow and flipped it while daddy was doing yard work.

-We got your 2 year pictures taken, luckily before the above mentioned event, and you were not too keen about it this year. The photographer was really good with you though (she also has a 2-year old) and she got some great shots!

-Your favorites:

Food: Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches, strawberries, cookies, smarties (from grandma), oatmeal WITH blueberries or bananas, bagels, pizza, tomatoes, bananas, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, goldfish, raisins, chicken nuggets.

Activities: ABC puzzles, ABCs in general, Baths (with ABCs), puzzles, singing, playing outside, having mommy and daddy write the ABCs in chalk so you can hop on them, reading books, walking, playing with stickers, and your water table outside.

Shows: You will only watch 3 shows at home and Netflix just took one away. Dear Netflix execs, how am I to explain to my toddler that his favorite show is just GONE?! Anyways, the 3 shows are: LeapFrog Amazing Alphabet, LeapFrog Numberland, and (was) BabyGenius Sing-a-long: Baby Animals.

Songs: The ABCs (is that obvious?), Where is Thumbkin, Twinkle Twinkle, Rock-a-bye Baby, Deep and Wide, and Jesus Loves Me.

-You are still rear-facing in your car seat and typically have conversations with yourself or your books on the ride home from daycare. You correct me if I call it "Blake's seat"...it's "Blake's CAR seat". Sorry buddy.

-You like things to be just so. You pick up pebbles and put them back with the dirt or rocks if they are on pavement, clean dirt off of slides, etc.

-One thing that is so common right now but I don't want to forget is how much you play with your ABC puzzle. Besides books and you're ABC magnets, that is one of the only toys you play with inside (at our house). You love hiding the letters everywhere or setting them up so they are balanced on something else. This happens all over the house, not just in the living room. A few letters have gone missing for months at a time and it drives all of us nuts. Mommy finally found H, I, and V (I know...haha) after a month and you were SO excited. They were in the trunk of your trike in the basement if you were wondering... Other favorite hiding spots: behind doors, behind the toilet, inside the play kitchen, in our shoes, on your racetrack, in the recycling bin (that one's fun....)...

-Grandma taught you to say "Eww" when you see bugs so now you always say "Eww" even if you don't really think it's gross. :)
-When you say goodbye to mommy in the morning you frequently say, "Bye mommy. See you next week." Hahaha! I think you learned this from Miss Carol at daycare.

-We celebrated your 2nd birthday on March 26, the day after because mommy had class all day on your actual birthday. Our whole family was able to be there which was amazing! We had so much fun!
