House Hunters: Round Two

Here are the pictures I promised from our second round of looking:

The first house we saw was an old farm house.
The kitchen was big, but I hated that window and the ceiling was sagging.
The nice big dining area.  I loved the decorating in this house!
The living room...and my brother :)
Main floor master bedroom
Cutest nursery ever!!!  Original walls and floor!
I just loved this!
The other nursery...they have twins :)
The yucky basement...I'm a pretty picky basement person :)
Overall, this house was ruled out.  It just wasn't our style and it was a bit too old for our taste.  It probably would have required more projects than we want to take on.

On to house number two...move-in ready!

I finally started taking pictures of the outside for you all to see!
Awesome living room!!!  This house was ALL redone!
I forgot to take a picture of the full kitchen, but it was very, VERY tiny.  I liked the new appliances, but I hate not having counter space next to the stove.
Cool closet with space above the stairs that go downstairs...if that makes sense, haha!
Master Bedroom
Bathroom, nice but narrow.  It was hard for Brandon and I to both stand in there.
The view out back...local school's football field!  We kind of liked that...free front row seats!
Without exception, favorite basement we've seen so far!
I LOVED that there was a full, legal bedroom in the basement and a bathroom too!!!
This house was wonderful!  But, as I often see on House Hunters, location was a concern.  This home is right near where we currently live.  There is nothing wrong with the area, but we are sick of driving a half an hour to do most of the things we want to do with family, friends, and church!  And also, this house is at the tippy top of our price range.  Not completely ruling it out, but it's very likely that this is not our future home.

I forgot to take a picture of house #3...whoops.

This house was a tri-level...or as I see it, a maze of stairs.  Big negative in my book.
Nice big living room with original wood floors!
Laundry was in the breezeway

Stairs up into the master bedroom...I would fall on my face every morning guaranteed.
Nice size bathroom!  A big positive!
Basement half #1...love the built-ins
Basement half #2....midget land
Hahaha!!!  This house was so weird!
So this house was actually our 2nd place house that I mentioned in my last post.  It needed some updating, but it was the most bang for the buck in this area.  Our realtor said while we were walking through that this house would be sold in a day, it was sold the next morning.  Crazy!

~

This next house is the one we put an offer on.....but did not get :(

The living room was actually a decent size...but their couch was HUGE!
This kitchen had a major lack of storage space....but I still loved it so much!
The dining room, they liked big furniture!
The main floor bedroom/den
Main floor bathroom
Upstairs master was big and had TWO closets!!!
Random, but nice little storage area upstairs
Upstairs bathroom
This was listed as a four bedroom house, but we would have used this room as storage
Downstairs laundry
This was the house of the night!  We had in offer in the next day, but we were outbid.  It was sad to lose.  Even though we had only just "met", we loved this house.

Tonight we are going out to see a third round of homes.  I'm still excited, but feeling a little more pressure.  If we want to make an offer on a good house we have learned it has to be a quick decision or the house will be gone.  That has been hard for us as we are people who like to think things over.....for a long time.  :)  So please pray that if we do find a house we love, that we would be wise in our decision making!  Have a happy Memorial Day weekend!!!
